A2Z Gradebook

A2Z Gradebook is a teacher's grading program which stores grades, calculates averages, and generates reports. This version supports assignment categories and weighted grades. Administrator's Edition is included for school-wide use. Using the Administator's Edition allows multiple teachers to merge their data based on student ID for read-only access and report generation. A2Z Report Maker (also included) allows users to create their own custom reports. This is a shareware listed under teaching tools category.

Word Puzzler

This software creates crossword puzzles, word search puzzles, word-definition match puzzles, vocabulary quizzes, and vocabulary lists. The software creates them from word list files. You can create your own word list files by entering words and definitions or use the word list of approximately 500 words (WORDS.DAT) which is included with the software. The puzzles and quizzes which Word Puzzler generates can be used by children to improve their vocabulary and spelling skills. Since you can enter your own list of words, it is especially helpful with vocabulary and spelling lists assigned at school. It can also be used with foreign languages. A2Z Hangman

This is a version of the classic hangman game which is designed to help grade school age children improve their vocabulary and spelling. It is appropriate for use in a classroom or at home. The object of hangman is to guess all of the letters in a word before the hangman is drawn. If the letter which is guessed is in the word it is shown. If the letter is not in the word, another line is drawn on the hangman. Key features include a hint feature which uses word's definition to provide a hint when needed, play using the keyboard or mouse, four different themes (hangman, flower, snowman, and spider), categories in word lists, and optional scoring. You can enter your own word list or play with the list of over 500 words included with the game. This games software is listed under education,word games.
