The Fatsondo MIDI Synthesizer is a plugin (AU), which has been tailored made for the creation of fat sounds. In addition, it has a built-in chorus, flanger, stereo delay, comes with 64 factory patches and a 17 page manual (Adobe Acrobat). The main features are a polyphonic unison mode, a unique processor module, which can switch between different functions, a warm and resonant lowpass/highpass filter and 3 oscillators per voice.

Music Converter

This audio software converts MIDI keys to frequencies and note numbers, scales knob values, calculates tuning frequencies, converts loop/delay time to BPM (and vice versa) and calculates the size of samples given sample frequencies, time, mono/stereo and bit depth.

Sound

This development tool lets you mathematically create sounds in Java. You define your sounds in terms of 16-bit linear code for the waveform, -- an array of samplings. The U_Law.class will then convert that to (or from) *.AU mu-law 8-bit encoding format which you can then play with AudioPlayer.player.start(bis) in an application or with Applet.getAudioClip in an Applet. This is just a sample program. You would insert your own mathematical functions.
