Resistors are normally supplied in ranges that have 6, 12, 24, 48, 96 or 192 values per decade. RVal helps you select the best values to produce a given ratio or difference, to connect in series or parallel to produce an exact value, the nearest preferred value to any given value, find the preferred value required in parallel with an existing resistance to produce a desired value or display a list of the values in one decade of any range.

RColours
This software converts the colour bands commonly found on resistors into the value of that resistor or it converts a given value into the colour bands that would be used to represent that value. 3 and 4 band representations are supported and the user can switch between the two to compare the result.
The value is displayed or can be entered in the industry standard 1K2 style. The colours are displayed on a picture of a resistor as well as named.
