BioniX Wallpaper supports JPG, GIF, BMP, ICO, EMF image files. Soon it will support more image types. This program lets you set the time interval at wich your deskop wallpaper will be changed. You can chose it between one secon and a few years - time elapse gauge. Also, the wallpaper manager has "don''t disturb user" mode (through "automatic shut down" option): images will be changed automatically when Windows starts, then the program will close without user intervention. Like Winamp, Bionix Wallpaper gives you the posibility to gather images from all over the hardisk in one playlist, without changing their physical location. The images can be stored in different directories, on different harddisks, even on different computers. Also, you can make multiple tematic playlists and switch between them whenever you want to. It is easy to interact with the playlists through "Playlist Editor" or "MiniList". This wallpaper cyler supports more then 50.000 image files in one playlist. BioniX gives to the saved playlists the extention BIO and associate itself to ''BIO'' files. This means that the wallpaper cycler will start automaticaly if you doubleclick a WAL file. BioniX Wallpaper has, in adition to the well known tile / stretch / center functions, 2 new smart functions: * smart stretch (if some of your pictures are bigger than your desktop size, BioniX will make them fit without cutting) and * smart tile (if some of your pictures are tiny, BioniX will tile them). This program has an incredible fast algorithm for displaying images / refreshing the desktop. The images from the playlist are displayed by the wallpaper changer randomly / shuffle or continuously. While running, the wallpaper manager skips invalid image files (that don''t exist any more in your computer). Also, like Winamp, BioniX Wallpaper cycler has playlist navigation, which permits you to go back and next through the images. On Windows 98, it switches automatically between Active Desktop and normal desktop...

DNA BASER - affordable sequence assembly

DNA Baser is an affordable alternative for assembly of DNA sequences and generation of contigs. File formats supported are abi, scf and seq (or FASTA). Chromatograms of the assembled sequences are displayed in a synchronized format with the generated contig. Ambiguous bases in the contig are highlighted and corrections are suggested by DNABaser based on Quality Values of the trace files. Minimum input from the user required. Editing of ambiguous bases, including insertion and deletion, is possible. The settings of the assembly engine can be adjusted by the user. The user can personalize the appearance of chromatograms, nucleotides, background. The Quality Values of the trace files are displayed above chromatograms, so that the user can easily decide on the corrections in the final contig. Original chromatogram files are automatically trimmed based on Quality Values. The contig is automatically saved in FASTA format, in the same directory with the original trace files. By using a built-up database of primer and vector sequences, that can be edited/upgraded by the user, DNABaser can be set to automatically trim the vector sequence out of the final contig.
