Rename
This purpose of this program is to rename image files obtained from digital cameras, scanners, etc.. All image files in a given folder may be renamed or only image files in the folder that match a selected file type. The image files renamed may also be limited to only files that begin with a specified character string. The new file names are formed from a "Base Name" and "Starting Number" entered via the Rename dialog. Help is included. Rename is licensed as freeware and placed in utilities, miscellaneous, home and hobby section.

Dead Pixel Tester
DPT was written to help me check my own screens by cycling through the three primary colours used (red,green,blue) and all on (white) and all off (black). Simply select a colour then closely inspect your monitor in each of the primary colours checking for pixels that are not operating as expected. Stuck pixels (always on) are easier to noticed then pixels that are not on due to their size (normally under .5mm). Utilities freeware Dead Pixel Tester is listed in system utilities other tools.
