Eltima's Virtual Serial Port ActiveX Control allows developers to create custom virtual serial ports from application, which fully emulate real com ports. From your application you can view and control data sent to virtual serial port by other applications and respond to them by sending your own serial data to virtual COM port. The latest version of Virtual Serial Port ActiveX has the ability to set custom signal lines wiring (DTS, RXT, DSR, CTS, DCD, RING), emulate connection line break and enumerate Virtual Serial Ports under Windows NT4/2000/XP/2003. Share Serial Ports

Share Serial Ports is an advanced utility, the purpose of which is to share real serial ports between multiple applications in the way, that all applications will receive same data from real serial port simultaneously. Shared Serial Ports can be used for serial port emulation, as it connects real serial ports by creating virtual serial ports, which are same copies as real ones. Each application will think that it is working with serial port in exclusive mode. All virtual serial ports will be able to send data to real serial port. Also, you will be able to set permissions to read, write or change control lines state for every application separately. Sharing a serial port is trully effective and reliable with Shared Serial Ports.

Virtual Serial Port Driver XP4

Virtual Serial Port Driver XP4 creates two pure virtual serial ports in your system which are virtually connected to each other. For other Windows applications, virtual ports will be seen exactly as two real serial ports connected via null-modem cable. You can select any port numbers for virtual pair. For example, you can create virtual pair COM5-COM6. In this case all data sent by other applications to COM5 will arrive at COM6, and all data sent to COM6 will arrive at COM5. This can be seen if you run two HyperTerminals (or any other Windows terminal programs) and connect one of them to COM5 and other one to COM6. Then, all you type in first terminal will appear at second one. Of course, you can transfer files, other data or do whatever you want as it was real serial ports. With Virtual Serial Port Driver XP 4.0 you can connect one application to another using virtual serial ports pair. Applications will be able to exchange data. This solution can be used, for example, for GPS simulation programs.
