Is designed for young typists (grades Pre-K to 3rd), and teaches proper typing technique for the letter keys. Sound effects and animation are used to make learning to type fun (and funny). Help is given with an animated tutorial, a screen to show proper fingering, and an on-screen keyboard which highlights the correct key when needed. There are three games in the program. "Jumping Letters" is designed for very young students, and can be played at any pace. Each correctly typed letter is rewarded with the letter being removed by an animated "critter" chosen by the pupil. When 10 letters are completed (context- sensitive help insures success), the child gets a silly cartoon. "Letter Drill" allows students to choose between 20 and 120 letters to practice. A report is generated at the end of the practice showing words per minute, errors, and time. The last letter in the sequence is removed in a silly way by a "critter", then the pupil is rewarded with a cartoon. "Flying Letters" is an arcade style game for advanced typists. The speed of the game is determined by the player (and can be changed at any time during the game). A report is generated at the end of the game, and a funny animation is displayed. All three games allow the student to choose a group of letters (such as left hand home keys), or to practice all 26 letters. Animated Puzzles #3

A puzzle game for all ages. The player can choose 12, 24, 48 or 96 pieces. Hints are available to help solve a puzzle. When a puzzle is completed it is animated using 3D graphics. Animated Clock

A program for children from pre-school through third grade that teaches them to tell time in a variety of ways. This life skill program helps them convert digital time to analog time and vice-versa. Difficulty levels can be selected to provide practice in increments of hours, half-hours, 15 minutes, 5 minutes and one minute. Animated rewards "pop out" of the cuckoo clock's doors for each correct answer, and 10 correct answers are rewarded with a full-screen silly animation. There are 100 different animations to provide variety. Graphic help is given as needed to help the student learn the skills. This is a shareware listed under education category.

Animated Coloring

A coloring book program that uses sound and animation. The child can choose from over 1000 colors or have the program pick a color for them each time they color. The colors can be animated with a color cycle. If the child wishes, the program will color the picture for them. At any time, the child can choose to have the picture become a full screen silly animation with sound which they can watch over and over again. Animated Coloring is a education software.

Animated States and Capitals

Learn the U.S. states and capitals in a fun (and funny) way. A full screen clickable map of the U.S. is used to teach names and locations of states and capitals in a variety of ways. When the student completes ten problems they are rewarding with a silly animation using 3D graphics. The tutorial section helps the student learn where states are on a map and which capitals go with which states. The learn the states section lets the student see the state on the map and click on it's name, or click on a state when they are presented with the name. There are multiple levels of difficulty and the student can work using all the states or just western, central or eastern regions. As the mouse is rolled over the U.S. map the states highlight to aid in selection. The learn the capitals section lets the student see the state name and choose it's capital, see the capital name and choose it's state, or see a state on the map and click on the name of it's capital. The last option can be very difficult and is ideal for mastery skills. This section has 15 different learning variations. Animated Kids Games

For kid?s who just want to have fun, a collection of seven games that provide hours of enjoyment and creativity. Includes a matching game with silly 3D animation, a "build your own rocket" game, an Animated Piano with 19 animated "singers" each with their own instruments ranging from a grand piano to a banjo. Animated Arithmetic

The "Animated Arithmetic CD" for Windows and Win 95 teaches addition, subtraction, multiplication and division for children from 1st through 4th grades. It provides exercises in addition and subtraction with and without regrouping. Problems can involve up to 9 digits. More than just a drill program, progressive help is given as needed to instruct the child to solve the problems. The multiplication and division problems are based on the multiplication table from 1 to 10, it teaches "mental math" in a painless way. Progressive help is given as needed when the student is having difficulty with a particular problem (not just a Wrong! response from the computer). Once ten problems are completed, the student gets to visit the game room. There are over 20 puzzles using 3D animation and sound on the registered CD ROM. The child can choose 12, 24, or 48 pieces.
