File Display Utility

Displays and prints disk file dumps in both ASCII text and binary (hexadecimal) formats. Files can be treated as either text files terminated by CR or LF, or as binary files handled as 16-byte wide blocks. Especially useful in analyzing non-printing characters in developer capture files or confirming files generated by developer programs have no extraneous non-printing characters.

ComCap

This software is designed to capture any ASCII data received on a PC serial communications port to a text file. Data from up to eight serial COM ports can be captured simultaneously, in separate files. ComCap is a system tray application that can be set to start automatically when windows starts, and remain unobtrusive. On Windows NT4, 2000, XP and 2003, ComCap may instead be run as a service, so it automatically starts when the PC boots.

JoinLine

This software fixes text files with long fixed length records and unwanted line wraps. Spreadsheets and database programs import individual text records with data on the same line. Sometimes lines are wrapped before the end of the record. If these records wrap to the same number of lines, then JoinLine can restore the wrapped records to single line records. A space pad character can be inserted between merged lines.
