Visual Subst

This tool is a small enhancement utility that allows you to associate the most accessed directories with virtual drives. It uses an API similar to the console ''subst'' utility, but makes it easier to create and remove virtual drives in a GUI way. Using virtual drives, you will be able to turn a long path (D:\My Documents\My Projects\) into just one drive letter (X:). This freeware is listed under system utilities file, disk management category.

It''s very easy to use and has thousands of icons available in packages on the Net.

Lovely Folders

This powerful and handy program allows you to replace the standard folder icon for individual folders with any eye-catching icon you wish, chosen from hundreds of built-in colorful icons or generated automatically by internal IconConverter depending on the content of a folder (music, video, images, etc.). Moreover, Lovely Folders can change folder background! Your individual folders now may have a background image - just like your desktop.

ActiveInsert
