Linéo
Linéo is a brand new free board game with simple, fun and easily learnable rules. The goal is to align 4 pawns having 1 common characteristic: color, shape, hollowness or size. The thing that makes it harder is that it's your opponent who choses the pawn you'll play! A game is usually 20 minutes or less long and anybody can play it without difficulties. You can play it against another human player or against the AI, and soon on network ! The game's name comes from the latin
"lineo", "I align", and it was primarily designed by Nathan (Jonathan Buron) and PYB (Pierre-Yves Bonnefoy), two french programmers and friends, because they wanted to train when not together. The Linéo project started, and soon Jojosan (Joachim Desoutter) joined the team
for translations and the GNU/Linux port, while Aurélien Merle joined the music team, followed by Sim (Simone Buron) and Mimi (Mélanie Letessier), for swedish and spanish translations. A first beta version was released for Windows and GNU/Linux, accompanied with source code. Other versions are currently being worked on.
