FakeTwin

If we would describe Faketwin in one short line then it would be: It copies a complete directory structure but make the files fake. It is a program, with which you can create a fake copy of a directory. Fake means that the files in the copy will either be empty or the contents will be filled with spaces. Optionally store the original file sizes in the copied files. It is especially made for professional users who can use this for summarizing or monitoring reasons. How it works - short 1) Choose a source: The source is a single directory which eventually includes subdirectories. You can select by using the selection panel and then clicking ''add selected'' in the source panel. You can also use the file menu: Source folder - Enter... . Once you made selections you are recommended to use the quick history menu in the file menu for selecting the same folders again later on! 2) Choose a destination: Select the destination folder similarly as the source folder. Remark that the folder that you select is infact the parent folder for the twin. An example: Suppose you select as source folder C:\My Documents ... and as destination (parent) folder C:\My FakeTwinCopies ... then the actual twin will be automatically named something like: C:\My FakeTwinCopies\faketwin_of_C_-my Documents 3) Hit the run button The actual twin folder is made now and the subfolder and empty files are created taking into account some options.

SmartDirCopy

SmartDirCopy is an easy backup program to back up (update actual copy) only a selection of your important documents, a tool for simple, frequent and fast backups. OnlyDirCopy

Copy a directory structure only. No files. Easy directory copy program to copy folder trees, without the files contained in that folders. You have option to copy several trees at once, combining them in projects. Projects are saved and can also optionally be re-run to make a synchronizing update. Extended reporting and log-file possibilities. How it works - short 1) In a first stage you simply select what items (= directories) have to be copied and what destination root you will use. In most cases there will be only one directory tree to be copied but you can select also more than one! These are combined into one PROJECT-file (.ond-file). 2) In the second stage (=copy), you choose to run the project-file and following happens: A) cleaning (except if project is run for first time): it checks every folder on the destination which were eventually cleaned on the source and these are now also deleted in the destination. B) updating: all new folders from the source are copied to the destination using the same directory structure as in the source. In this way, during the first run of a project to a disk you will create an identical copy of the source and during other runs to that same disk you update or synchronize that identical copy! If you have a lot of folders you can also make several projects. As all the project-files are saved you can quickly select them later on again to update the copy, leaving away the first stage. It is also possible to edit projects later on (eg you want to add a directory).

Smartcopy

In Windows and Dos it will copy a file from your hard disk to your disk drive, in the case that the file size is bigger than the size available in your disk drive. Once copied it is possible to restore the disk(ette)s to another computer. You can copy any big file via ordinary diskettes! This small tool can be very usefull on your system disk to safeguard important big files in case Windows is not working or crashed caused by virus attack for instance. Also splitting and rejoining of a file into a number of pieces directly in a directory is possible (eg. to split E-mail attachments). Dos based utility for Windows users. Seems strange but is very handy for the case when Windows crashes... which sometimes happens.

Pst2mail

Pst2mail: Program to retrieve or find email addresses from an unprotected (*) Microsoft Outlook archive or pst file, optionally using filter settings. Adresses will be collected in an output file. The resulting list can then be imported in a database for example for further actions. Very helpfull to recover addresses of people you contacted when you've lost somehow your address book. But also for instance a good help for employers, managers, supervisors or system controllers wanting to check what external contacts the employees have. It looks for the "from" and "to" fields in the selected pst file and returns the according email addresses. (*) With unprotected we mean "no encryption at all". Pst files protected with a password can not be used in Pst2mail, but also files using the standard compressible encryption (without password) can not be directly read by Pst2mail. There is a workaround though for last case: simply make an additional personal folder in Outlook, force the option "No encryption", and copy the mails from the encrypted to the non-encrypted personal folders!! The resulting pst file can be processed by Pst2mail.
