BatteryTimer
BatteryTimer for the PocketPC allows you to simulate patterns of usage, and automatically log the remaining percentage battery charge in main and supplemental batteries. For example if you use your PocketPC for playing audio files for 2 hours a day you can set it to play a track in a continuous loop, then start BatteryTimer to ''on for 2 hours off for 24 hours''. After 2 hours it will shutdown the PocketPC with an instruction to wake up again in 24 hours. This process will repeat, logging data at an interval you specify until the battery charge reaches critical level, at which point the program stops and puts the PocketPC into shutdown mode. If you''re planning a project involving mobile data collection one of the first things you''ll need to establish is how long the mobile device''s batteries will last, and whether this fits with expected usage patterns, and opportunities for recharging. It is well known that PocketPC batteries become tired after many charge/discharge cycles, but without BatteryTimer it is difficult to measure how bad the situation has become. With BatteryTimer you can fully charge your PocketPC then leave BatteryTimer running in ''Always on'' mode and it will automatically log when the battery reaches critical level and then switch off.

CryptoTextCE
CryptoTextCE is an ActiveX / COM component written in ATLCE for the PocketPC. It provides simple access to the CryptoAPI in Windows CE from embedded Visual Basic and embedded Visual C++.
CryptoTextCE is a companion product to CryptoText for the desktop, and data encrypted on the PocketPC using CryptoTextCE can be decrypted on Windows NT/9x using CryptoText and vice versa. If you are collecting sensitive data on a PocketPC device and transferring it to a destop PC or server using SQL Server CE or some other form of file based synchronisation, you can use CryptoTextCE to encrypt the data before transfer and CryptoText to decrypt it again on the server.
As with CryptoText, CryptoTextCE encrypts the input text data and converts the resulting binary data to a series of characters which are suitable for use in a SQL statement, or for storage in a text/.ini file. The additional step performed by CryptoTextCE is the optional conversion from a UNICODE string to an ANSI string before encryption. This addresses the issue that all strings in eVB for the PocketPC are held as two byte UNICODE characters internally. If you are not making used of the extended character sets available with UNICODE the conversion to ANSI reduces the size of the encrypted data, and increases compatability with desktop Windows operating systems.

Localizer
Localizer gives you everything you need to add powerful ASP.NET internationalization support to Microsoft Visual Studio 2002 / 2003, bringing the same set of localization features that Windows Forms programmers enjoy to the ASP.NET world. Until now, a similar level of Visual Studio designer support for localizing ASP.NET Web Forms has not been available. Now with Localizer you can produce localized versions of your ASP.NET Web Forms and controls in the Visual Studio designer in exactly the same way you would for Windows Forms applications. All you need to do is drop a Localizer component onto your WebForm (or UserControl), design the page in the invariant language and then set the Language property of Localizer to the language you choose. This generates a new .resx file for that language, and all property changes are written to this new file. When your web application is run Localizer checks the current locale and checks if the application has resources for that locale.

PrintAdapters
PrintAdapters for .NET helps the software developer to add printing support for the complex Windows Forms controls ListView, TreeView and RichTextBox to their dotnet application, as well as providing DataTable and DataView printing features. The visual style of the printed output can either be automatically mirrored from the current settings on the control, or can be supplied by the developer at design or run-time. PrintAdapters includes comprehensive design time support for style editing which is fully integrated with Visual Studio .NET.
Key product features include:
* Use the appropriate PrintAdapter component in place of the standard .NET PrintDocument class so easily add multipage printing of the ListView, TreeView and RichTextBox control's contents to a .NET application. Also prints DataTable and DataView using the same styling options provided for ListView
* Prints the .NET ListView, TreeView and RichTextBox controls, either direct to the Printer, or to the PrintPreviewDialog
* Use the integrated designers to modify the style of the printed output, or automatically pick up the style from the current settings on the control
* Advanced options enable the developer to use the PrintAdapters components in their own custom printing scheme. For example using the PrintListView component's advanced Drawing features to render a ListView control as a table in a subarea of the page, surrounded by custom output, or combining the output of more than one PrintAdapter component on a single printed page.
