BringBack
BringBack offers easy to use, inexpensive, and highly successful data file recovery for WindowsTM & Linux (ext2) operating systems and digital images stored on memory cards, hardware RAID, etc. Supports FAT, FAT32, NTFS and Ext2 file systems with RAID 0 + 5 reconstruction capability. It also offers a (freeware) digital image recovery mode. BringBack recovers data even if the hard drive's partition table, boot record, FAT/MFT or root directory is lost or damaged due to virus attacks, accidentally formatted or repartitioned disks, power failures, accidental deletion etc.. BringBack can even reconstruct data of missing or corrupt RAID 5 members. During the recovery BringBack monitors the hard disk condition through observing SMART attributes, it will pause if needed (temperature too high) or warn if it is dangerous to continue. This is a demo listed under system utilities file, disk management category.

ReviveR
ReviveR - Undelete... Unformat... Unbelievable! ReviveR can recover deleted files even if the files were deleted from the recycle bin, or if applications (which normally bypass the recycle bin) deleted the files. ReviveR can also recover lost files even after a complete format. Works under Microsoft Windows XP / 2003. Supported file system: NTFS 3.1 (as formatted by XP and up). Unique Validation Engine, allows predicting the recoverability. ReviveR can be used to recover files from Accidental file deletion, even after the Windows Recycle Bin has been emptied, delete actions that bypassed the Recycle Bin (files deleted by applications or from a command prompt) & volumes that were (accidentally) formatted. ReviveR (NTFS version only!) features a file validation engine. Many file formats have recognizable structures, headers and 'magic bytes'. For file types that are recognized by the validation engine the internal file structure is partially examined. If the extension of a file matches found structures, headers and magic bytes the file is probably intact. If the file extension does not correspond with found structures, it's almost certain that the file is corrupt. The following file types are validated: ".JPG", ".GIF", ".ZIP", ".CAB", ".EXE", ".DLL", ".OCX", ".WRI", ".BMP", ".DOC", ".PPT", ".XLS", ".PDF", ".RAR", ".MP3", ".MPG", ".MPEG", ".MPE". This utilities software is listed under system utilities file, disk management.
