Linkz

The main objective of Linkz is to connect all the open ends of the pipes, electronic circuits, roads or whatever tiles you may be using together so they form continuos shapes. And all this takes place in the form as a race against time. A simple enough task you might think. Granted, a 5 x 5 map is not very difficult to complete (try and top my 6 seconds!) but the bigger the maps get the more complex the shapes will be and you should be busy quite some time solving a 50 x 50 map. For those who don''t want to have the game take this long there is also the option to choose any size between 5 x 5 and 50 x 50 and there are also some default sizes to choose from so you can compete with your friends. You will have access to a range of 10 different sets of tiles with some very strange and interresting alternatives, the smart person will learn how to use the characteristics of every set of tiles to his own advantage as Linkz will allow you to swap tiles during the game. Besides having these 10 pre-designed sets of Tiles you can also use your own self-made sets or use sets downloaded elsewhere. You can create custom tiles using any graphics application and download the Tiles Development Kit (TDK) for information and some samples and templates. Although all maps can be solved, you might get into problems when you''re working with a big map and lose track of the open ends, for those people there is an option to graphically mark all the open ends so you can quickly see where there''s more work to be done. Control is done by mouse, left click to rotate the tile below the mouse pointer clockwise, right click to go the other way around. Most of the other features are conveniently available through the Function keys so you can quickly select a new map if things get rough.

Snowflakes

With the Snowflakes PhotoShop plug-in you can create any type of snow you can imagine, ranging from mild and fluffy snowfall to heavy hailstorms and anything in between. Snowflakes includes sliders which allow you to change all aspects of the effect. With density you can smoothly change between a few flakes and more than fit the screen. You can also specify the range of flake sizes, allowing you to have all the flakes of equal size, be it small or large or any mixture in-between. Couple the previous controls with a hardness settings, which allows you you to give the snowflakes hard edges or very soft ones, and a transparency setting and you can use this plug-in to create noise like textures such as wool, dust and the resulting images can even be used as the source for a 3D landscape. Fluffy clouds and water surfaces are also possible by just shifting the controls. An extra color setting allows for completely different effects such as a festive confetti or romantic rose-leaves falling down. Predefined colors will help you get the effect you want quickly or you can use a custom color for your own personal taste. At their hardest setting, the snowflakes are perfectly anti-aliassed, at their softest, they are smoothly shaded dots. The effect will render equally beautiful on RGB, grayscale or Duotone modes, with or without (partial) transparency. We have used only the finest of mathematics (floating point precision math wherever possible) to bring you sub-pixel level accuracy and full scalability; create an effect in a small-sized copy (as Adobe themselves recommend) and it will look identical on the full-sized image. You can save and reload the settings and it will look perfect every time.

Halftone

This plug-in creates high-quality anti-aliassed halftone dithering effects on any RGB, Grayscale or Duotone image in your favorite PhotoShop compatible graphics application (including PhotoShop, Paint Shop Pro, PhotoPaint, PhotoImpact, Painter, Picture Publisher and many more). This is the rastering effect seen on Photographs in newspapers and other black-on-white publications but is also a popular effect as backgrounds for logo's and can even be used to create completely new effects. Harmonix

With the Harmonix Photoshop plug-in you can create complex waveforms. The waveforms generated by Harmonix are created by mixing (or superimposing for the more technically-minded) harmonic frequencies. All features of the waveforms are automatically scaled to fit the image (or selection of course) so you will not have to reconfigure an entire wave should you decide to change the image size. A simple yet powerful interface allows you to configure every aspect of the waveform with great precision. Setting the frequency, fine-tuning the frequency, changing both the amplitude and phase of every individual harmonic frequency. You can also change the width of the waveform so it will show up when you''re working with high resolutions. And last and certainly not least you have the ability to memorize and restore your configuration. SnowScape

SnowScape is a PhotoShop plug-in for creating piles of snow, dirt, sand, gooey, slimy stuff, blood and similar effects to your (semi-)transparent images. You can specify where you want the snow to appear, how sticky it should be, allowing you to control whether the slopes should be smooth or jagged, and of course how much will have to be falling down. Besides all those boring white flakes seen so often during Christmas time you also get the option of choosing a different color for you snow, allowing you to simulate cool effects such as this cool radioactive goo shown on the left. Adding a roughness option finishes it off by making it look more natural. All you need to do to use this plug-in is create a layer in your graphics application which has (semi-)transparent parts. Snow, of course, can only fall where there''s nothing there and it will stop only when it finds fully opaque areas, passing by and perfectly coloring any transparent areas so your anti-aliassed edges will remain smooth. As a fun extra there is also an option to let you watch the snow stack up in layers.

Camouflage

You can run, but can you hide? Now you can, with the Camouflage plug-in! Use the Camouflage plug-in to make army, fashion and animal camo. You can even make patterns not found anywhere else.
