NightVision

NightVision is a plug-in for PhotoShop compatible plug-in hosts. It will work with applications such as PhotoShop, Paint Shop Pro, PhotoPaint, PhotoImpact and Picture Publisher amongst many others. Use the NightVision plug-in to create completely realistic army night-goggle type images complete with true over lighting, scaled noise, realistic feedback and anti-aliassed interlacing. Not only does NightVision provide a realistic looking effect, it can actually enhance and correct image intensity just like real night-vision hardware. Besides bringing you total realism, the NightVision plug-in will also you to do non-realistic effects such as the blue scan of a bird shown here on the left. Since any of the effects can be switched on and off, you can do a lot more than just enhance images. This image of a cowboy wearing a hat has been entirely created using NightVision, the source image was of normal color but by using a black scan color and enhancement, the over lighting feature took care of all lighting, creating a moody image. Adding noise and large feedback made it look just like a shot from a black/white surveillance camera. You can use the NightVision plug-in for post-processing your images and (3D) animations or just for any of the separate effects it contains, in particular the interlacing feature is by far the best quality interlacing you will ever encounter and the enhancement option will allow you to look at details previously hidden in dark images. OldMovie

A commercial plugin (only $19.95) with which you can transform all your digitized images into photographs and films of the old days. Add grain, shade the images into a monochrome palette, defocus, brighten or darken the edges, add highly configurable scratches, hairs and spots of dust and fat. Jittering, corner cutting and more. All fully configurable and shaped into a simple interface. Optimized to work fast on even the largest of images without any concessions to the quality. FontBrowser

FontBrowser is a small program which enables you to preview all the fonts available on your system at various sizes, colors and styles. The interface is clear and simple. The preview can be resized by dragging at the border just below the font list. The window as a whole can be resized too. Fonts can be selected by simply clicking in a list, which can also be quickly browsed by using the cursor, page up/down and home/end keys. Any combination bold, italic and underline styles can be selected and the color of both the background and foreground of the preview can be chosen. By clicking on the preview text, a window pops up allowing you to change the text used in the preview, allowing you to preview the precise text you'll be needing the font for. FontBrowser stores the last used settings automatically and uses them when starting again at a later time. FontBrowser can be used immediately after downloading, no installation or configuration required. The program has been compressed as an executable and is as small a download as possible without using any installer or archive (like zip files). This plug-in creates high-quality anti-aliassed halftone dithering effects on any RGB, Grayscale or Duotone image in your favorite PhotoShop compatible graphics application (including PhotoShop, Paint Shop Pro, PhotoPaint, PhotoImpact, Painter, Picture Publisher and many more). This is the rastering effect seen on Photographs in newspapers and other black-on-white publications but is also a popular effect as backgrounds for logo's and can even be used to create completely new effects. Linkz

The main objective of Linkz is to connect all the open ends of the pipes, electronic circuits, roads or whatever tiles you may be using together so they form continuos shapes. And all this takes place in the form as a race against time. A simple enough task you might think. Granted, a 5 x 5 map is not very difficult to complete (try and top my 6 seconds!) but the bigger the maps get the more complex the shapes will be and you should be busy quite some time solving a 50 x 50 map. For those who don't want to have the game take this long there is also the option to choose any size between 5 x 5 and 50 x 50 and there are also some default sizes to choose from so you can compete with your friends. You will have access to a range of 10 different sets of tiles with some very strange and interresting alternatives, the smart person will learn how to use the characteristics of every set of tiles to his own advantage as Linkz will allow you to swap tiles during the game. Besides having these 10 pre-designed sets of Tiles you can also use your own self-made sets or use sets downloaded elsewhere. You can create custom tiles using any graphics application and download the Tiles Development Kit (TDK) for information and some samples and templates. Although all maps can be solved, you might get into problems when you're working with a big map and lose track of the open ends, for those people there is an option to graphically mark all the open ends so you can quickly see where there's more work to be done. Control is done by mouse, left click to rotate the tile below the mouse pointer clockwise, right click to go the other way around. Most of the other features are conveniently available through the Function keys so you can quickly select a new map if things get rough. Snowflakes

With the Snowflakes PhotoShop plug-in you can create any type of snow you can imagine, ranging from mild and fluffy snowfall to heavy hailstorms and anything in between. Snowflakes includes sliders which allow you to change all aspects of the effect. With density you can smoothly change between a few flakes and more than fit the screen. You can also specify the range of flake sizes, allowing you to have all the flakes of equal size, be it small or large or any mixture in-between. Couple the previous controls with a hardness settings, which allows you you to give the snowflakes hard edges or very soft ones, and a transparency setting and you can use this plug-in to create noise like textures such as wool, dust and the resulting images can even be used as the source for a 3D landscape. Fluffy clouds and water surfaces are also possible by just shifting the controls. An extra color setting allows for completely different effects such as a festive confetti or romantic rose-leaves falling down. Predefined colors will help you get the effect you want quickly or you can use a custom color for your own personal taste. At their hardest setting, the snowflakes are perfectly anti-aliassed, at their softest, they are smoothly shaded dots. The effect will render equally beautiful on RGB, grayscale or Duotone modes, with or without (partial) transparency. We have used only the finest of mathematics (floating point precision math wherever possible) to bring you sub-pixel level accuracy and full scalability; create an effect in a small-sized copy (as Adobe themselves recommend) and it will look identical on the full-sized image.
