VisualLookout monitors...

VisualLookout monitors and records the activity as visitors enter your system through open ports that firewalls normally do not protect, so you can identify and track unwelcome visitors. The geographical location of the visitor is identified on a World map to help identify security threats. Network interface data provides your 'Internet speed' and traffic. Both high level and detailed views report traffic information in real-time or on a historical basis. A 'connections' window for any server provides a real-time view of all the active network connections showing who is connected, their country of origin, what service is being used, whether the connection is inbound or outbound, how many connections are active and how long they have been connected. The AutoContact feature keeps an historical log of visitors' IP addresses and their domain names. The AutoSentry feature provides information about the number of connections that are current and historical for that IP or domain, the time spent at the site and the services used. The user can very quickly examine the past history of an IP to see the activity detail. This very quickly identifies whether ports are being scanned to find an open back door, or whether a particular IP address is continually on the server. VisualLookout can monitor multiple systems in parallel providing a valuable single view over all critical systems. VisualLookout is a internet software.

VisualPulse Web Edition

VisualPulse is a Web-based monitoring tool designed for easy reporting of Internet service availability. VisualPulse enables monitoring of specific websites, servers, and network nodes anywhere over the Internet, corporate Intranet or Extranet, visually providing real-time and historical reports for Ping, Http and TCP statistics. VisualPulse continuously gathers and summarizes latency and availability data for all three data sources (Ping, Http, and TCP) at regular intervals. A variety of standard reports are available for easy reporting -- such as an overall summary, last hour, last 24 hours -- along with user-defined options for customized reports. The information is reported in real-time and historically, so that current and past problems may be readily identified and investigated. The user may configure global or individual thresholds for automated alerting of potential problems. Automated capture of traceroute diagnostics allows analysis of connectivity problems regardless of when problems occur. networking, tools, network management, system administration, network administration shareware listed in networking, tools, network management, system administration, network administration section.

Trace analysis reports provide detailed information about IP addresses and web domains, identifying the estimated physical location, network provider contact and abuse reporting information, and domain registration information. The analysis reports enable users to verify a website prior to submitting confidential information, trace a hacker or suspect to their location, and report Internet abuse or illegal activity. Features include: IP location analysis, domain registration reporting, network provider reporting, one-click traces from MS Internet Explorer, instant traces directly from the Windows task bar, analysis of Internet applications running at the target location, and automated abuse reporting. VisualRoute combines t...

VisualRoute combines the tools Traceroute, Ping, and Whois into an easy-to-use graphical interface that analyzes Internet connections to quickly locate where an outage or slowdown occurs. In addition, VisualRoute identifies the geographical location of IP addresses and Web servers on a global map--key information for security purposes to help identify network intruders and Internet abusers. VisualRoute also features an email tracking for troubleshooting email problems, a ping grapher for analyzing connectivity over time, and domain and network Whois information for quick problem or abuse reporting. Integration with Internet Explorer provides one-click traces to any Web site. The ping capabilities provide a good idea of whether or not the site is live, while traceroute will help determine where along the route the problem lies. VisualRoute's traceroute provides three types of data: an overall analysis, a data table, and a geographical view of the routing. The analysis is a brief description of the number of hops, where problems occurred, and the type of Web server software running at the site you are trying to reach. The data table lists information for each hop, including the IP address, node name, geographical location and the major Internet backbone where each server resides. The World map gives a graphical representation of the actual path of an Internet connection. Users can zoom in/out and move the map around to position it as desired. A mouse click on a server or network name opens a pop-up Whois window, providing instant contact information for problem reporting. VisualRoute is available in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish, and may be easily changed from one language to another. Available on the Windows, Solaris, Linux, FreeBSD, and Mac OS X platforms. This is a shareware listed under internet, connectivity, networking, tools, utilities, security category.

CallerIP monitors acti...

CallerIP monitors activity on open ports on your system, which are often not protected by firewalls, and identifies backdoors that could allow harmful Trojans to steal your information. Connections are monitored in realtime and identified by country, a click on an IP address shows the city and country location on a world map. Worldwide WHOIS lookups show domain and network registration contact information, including abuse reporting information. Connections to your system are provided in real-time, including the connection time, remote and local IP address, country of origin, remote and local ports being accessed. For Windows XP systems, the process ID is also identified, which helps determine if it is a legitimate process or may be harmful. A simple click on an IP address shows you where the connection originates on a global map, along with domain and network registration information. CallerIP actively scans the ports on your system and alerts you to any backdoors or active HTTP/FTP/SMTP services, which could allow a harmful Trojan or enable unauthorized access to your system.
