Planets is developed or distributed by William Burns and is licensed as shareware. PLANETS is intended for the casual skywatcher interested in locating the planets. PLANETS is intended for the casual skywatcher who is interested in locating the five planets which are visible to the naked eye. PLANETS was written for Windows 98 but it should run on systems using Windows 95 through Windows XP as well. PLANETS displays the current location in the sky of Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, the Sun and the Moon and gives the time of day that these objects will rise and set. PLANETS allows the user to browse through time and date to determine the best opportunities to view the objects. In addition, PLANETS displays the current phase of the Moon, the location of several interesting objects best viewed with binoculars and alerts the user to the presence of meteor showers....
