Imports gridded data...

Grid Imp

Imports gridded data into MS-MapPoint, to produce attractive data maps. Can handle imperfect data, holes, re-gridding, etc. Can be used to import such attributes as pollution data, seismic hazard, geological information, customer/population distribution, etc. Various text formats supported using space, tab, or comma separators with both Unix and DOS/Windows newline conventions. Data must be addressed using longitude, latitude coordinates.

MPSuperShape

MPSuperShape is a shape manipulation tool for Microsoft MapPoint. MPSuperShape can be used to combine multiple shapes into one large shape, find the intersections (overlaps) between shapes, import/export shape files, and to create web pages. Import shape options include ESRI Shape (SHP) files, MapInfo MIF files, Keyhole (KML), and GML. MPSuperShape can also export to GML; KML; and webpages that use Google Maps or Microsoft Virtual Earth (''Live Local''). Possible applications include: * Combining drive-time areas to find the total area covered by existing depots. * Finding territory overlaps. * Finding areas which meet multiple characteristics. * Transferring shapes to/from other GIS systems. * Create webpages from MapPoint shapes and pushpins MPSuperShape provides the following benefits: * Combine multiple shapes * Find the intersection (overlap) between shapes * Import shapes from external (non-MapPoint) files * Export shapes to external (non-MapPoint) files * Create webpages that use Virtual Earth or Google Maps to display MapPoint pushpins and/or shapes. * Copy shapes between different MapPoint maps - reuse the same shapes on multiple maps! The import and export options support GML and KML. GML is an XML-based open GIS format that is managed by the Open Geospatial Consortium. KML (''Keyhole Markup'') is the XML language for Google Earth, but it is also supported by Google Maps and Microsoft Virtual Earth. Requirements: MapPoint 2006 (or later), .NET Framework 2.0 (or later), and Windows XP or Vista required.

Single State Mapping...

Single State Mapper

Single State Mapping Tool allows you to create maps of individual states with Microsoft® MapPoint® 2002, 2004 or 2006. Make maps of individual states. For various purposes, many users of Microsoft MapPoint would like to cover up neighboring states for their maps in Microsoft MapPoint. This tool allows you to do that. Demo data file allows you to create an individual map of Nevada. The full product supports all 48 contiguous US States. You can see it''s not perfect - the labels at the edge of the state are chopped off, unfortunately this is the best you can do with Microsoft MapPoint. There''s a couple steps in creating an individual state map which requires some experience with MapPoint shape objects. To re-create the Nevada map, download the sample file (1468KB). Type Nevada, US in the Find box and hit OK when the dialog comes up. Click in the center of the map, it will select the Nevada shape object. Next, at the bottom in the Drawing toolbar, change the line to black and the fill to "No Fill". That will show the Nevada Map just as it is in the first download. That is it! The Nevada demonstration contains one US State. When you purchase the Single State Mapping Tool, you will receive one Microsoft MapPoint template file that can be used to produce individual maps for all 48 contiguous US States. The RouteWriter add-...

RouteWriter

The RouteWriter add-in imports and exports waypoints for Microsoft MapPoint routes whilst maintaining their route order. Although MapPoint can import and export waypoints as pushpins, their order is usually re-arranged. RouteWriter exports waypoints and their matching pushpins to Excel with their waypoint distance, time, coordinate, address data, and all available pushpin data fields. Routes can also be optimized. Pushpins can be matched to waypoints using two different methods. They can be matched on name (unreliable if duplicate names exist); or name and distance (slower but reliable). RouteWriter includes ''RouteReader'' which is used to import routes from pushpins in a pre-determined order. This order is specified by a pushpin data field (typically a column that is imported using the Data Import Wizard). This field can be text or number, although it is usually a simple sequence number. Sorting can be in both ascending or descending order. Pushpins can also be selected by ''group'' within a pushpin set. This feature allows all locations (eg. customers) to be imported at once. RouteReader is then run multiple times creating each required route (eg. for each day).
