This fully customizable calendar includes notes, tasks, alarms, and displays itself on your desktop by integrating with existing wallpaper image. There are options for changing calendar icons, fonts and colors, marking weekdays of choice and marking dates with notes and/or alarms. You can have a text only version of the calendar and choose between displaying one, two or three months on the desktop. Recurrence patterns are available for both notes and alarms. An alarm can be stand alone or attached to a note. If interactive desktop option is enabled the program accepts direct clicks on dates, notes and tasks displayed on the desktop. You can set each note to have normal, private or invisible desktop view. Private notes are displayed as generic text reminder only and invisible notes are not displayed on the desktop at all. Printing calendar data is easy with options to choose date range for printing notes. Active Desktop Calendar comes with its own screensaver that displays desktop wallpaper with real time clock and a special desktop pictures option that allows you to add some of your pictures to the existing desktop background.

Active ScreenSaver Builder

This screensaver maker allows you to put images, text and multimedia in your screensavers. It offers three user interfaces with different complexity: one-step screensaver solution, wizard interface and simple yet effective command language. To use one-step screensaver you just have to select some folder with images, choose a template and the program will do the rest. There are 84 image transition effects to play with, command for moving images and text across the screen, random coordinates, left/center/right text justification and letter-by-letter text effect. You can also resize an image to a custom size or stretch it to full screen size with or without maintaining the original aspect. Screensaver becomes web enabled when you use the option to assign a hotkey that automatically opens web browser with selected URL when user presses it to exit screensaver. The program can produce installer EXE file for installing and uninstalling a screensaver. Supported media file formats are: WAV, AVI, MID and MP3. You can also choose an icon for a screensaver file.

Photo Druid

Photo Druid will help you manage and share your digital photos and images hassle free. Many image actions are available: blur, crop, despeckle, equalize histogram, flip horizontal, flip vertical, resize, rotate, sepia and sharpen. You can apply them to images individually, but you can also select multiple images and apply an action to all of them. Full size preview of resulting image after applying all chosen actions is available so you can fine tune it before finalizing. When finalizing images (single, selection or all) program allows you to choose output image format and destination folder. If an image already exists in the destination folder you will be prompted to skip, overwrite or auto-rename that image and use the same option for all such cases in a current batch. The program currently supports BMP, JPG and PNG image file formats. After finalizing images Photo Druid will offer its extra features: HTML album generator, FTP upload, send by e-mail. Album generator will make you everything necessary to put images on the web: thumbnails, HTML page files, navigation. The program also has built-in FTP client for uploading files to a web server. Finally, you can send images by e-mail using your default client program directly from the Photo Druid.

This freeware will start any program you want at a scheduled time. It can perform both one-time and recurring tasks. However, there is more to Smooth Program Scheduler than just starting other programs. If some program is enabled with a control interface built under Scheduler's specification, then you will get additional control over that program. Two sound recorders, Claudio and Audio Notes Recorder, represent a good example for that collaboration. If you have one of those recorders on your computer then you will be able to make unattended recordings using Scheduler. In other words you get the opportunity to create a scheduled task that will launch the audio program, start recording from selected sound source, stop the recording at some point later in time and finally exit the program.
