Q7Z is a P7Zip GUI for Linux, which attempts to simplify data compression and backup. Use #7Z if you want to: Update existing archives quickly; Backup folders to a storage location; Create or extract protected archives; Lessen effort by using archiving profiles and lists. For installation instructions, see "INSTALL.txt". If you encounter any problems, see ISSUES.txt and send me an email if necessary.

Emsa DiskCheck

Emsa Disk Check is a dual-purpose utility, for disk checking (prescan and full disk reading) and also benchmarking. What it does, is scanning/reading the entire contents of a disk (CD, DVD or hard drive; or even floppy) and show any read errors that may appear, but also show drive speed information, progress statistics etc. It was designed with simplicity in mind, but usefulness for the user.
