Microsoft’s .NET Framework lacks classes for FTP. With KCommon’s FTP component, programmers can build Windows Forms or ASP.NET (Web Forms) apps so users can send or receive files via the FTP protocol. Operations for synchronous and asynchronous transfers are supported. KCommon’s FTP component supports passive mode, but not active mode. It is written in C# but is not marked as CLS compliant. It does not support proxy servers.

The vertical news ticker scrolls news items vertically, allowing the user to scroll them up or down and click on the news item to open a web page. The news items are loaded as XML text, either through the applet parameters or from a URL containing the XML formatted news items.

SnowScape is a PhotoShop plug-in for creating piles of snow, dirt, sand, gooey, slimy stuff, blood and similar effects to your (semi-)transparent images. You can specify where you want the snow to appear, how sticky it should be, allowing you to control whether the slopes should be smooth or jagged, and of course how much will have to be falling down. You can even change the color and apply noise to create effects nothing like snowfall.
