Almost all SCADA/HMI workstations share a common problem: annoying burn-in monitor effect. No matter if classic CRT or modern LCD monitors are used, due to mostly static screen graphics, sooner or later you will have those graphics on your screens even when you power them off (ghosting). This is a screensaver that covers just a part of the screen at a time, enough to prevent screen damage but allowing data and alarms monitoring for operators.

Dead Pixel Tester

DPT was written to help me check my own screens by cycling through the three primary colours used (red,green,blue) and all on (white) and all off (black). Simply select a colour then closely inspect your monitor in each of the primary colours checking for pixels that are not operating as expected. Stuck pixels (always on) are easier to noticed then pixels that are not on due to their size (normally under .5mm).

Mihov Blank Screen

Mihov Blank Screen shows black, green, gray, or white screen. Use the program to set the brightness of my monitor and test the quality of a monitor. It is very useful for testing of a computer monitor. It will not tell you, how good is a monitor, it will just tell you if it is really bad and is about to be replaced.
