GradientMaker
by Robin programmer
Small utility for creating different images with different gradient fill, for such purposes as wallpaper background, for example. Works with linear, radial (shaped) and radial with surround colors (shaped) gradients. All gradient could be multi-colored. Output file formats are Jpeg, Png, Tiff, bmp. Output file could be any size, any color depth. Could check for new version.

Curve Sketching
by BHS
Curve Sketching 1.10 creates exercises with solutions and graphs in the field of curve sketching of linear, quadratic, cubic, quartic and quintic polynomials. Alternatively, Curve Sketching determines the solution for given polynomials. The curve sketching covers the determination of the roots, location and nature (minimum/maximum) of all extrema, location and concavity of all inflection points and saddle points and their corresponding asymptote.

Sound
by Canadian Mind Products
Sound lets you mathematically create sounds in Java. You define your sounds in terms of 16-bit linear code for the waveform, -- an array of samplings. The U_Law.class will then convert that to (or from) *.AU mu-law 8-bit encoding format which you can then play with AudioPlayer.player.start(bis) in an application or with Applet.getAudioClip in an Applet. This is just a sample program. You would insert your own mathematical functions.
