How to use Advanced Cookie Manager
These are the most often used commands you may
launch via toolbar
Refresh: reads current cookies from your
computer and displays them in the list
Backup: creates a copy of all cookies on your computer to a
specified folder.
Restore: Restores cookies from a previously saved backup location.
Export: exports a list of cookie file names to a notepad list.
Search: quick look up of a cookie file by domain name.
Shred: a secure shredder featuring several algorithms that deletes
selected or all cookies.
Settings: allows to select shredding method, backup and cookie
folders and other settings.
What information is displayed in the
panel windows? Left panel shows cookie names typically comprised
from a user name and a domain name. Right panel shows a list of
cookie parameters. When selecting a parameter from the list an
additional information about its values is displayed, such as when
the cookie was set, from what domain it was set, when it expires.

Options include manual selection of internet cookies
folder location on the hard disk, selection of backup folder
and an option to ask a confirmation prior to erasing cookies.
A built in shredder allows you to wipe cookies
from your PC with a peace in mind so that no other software
would be able to recover data. Three shredding methods are
available: Gutmanns, US DoD 5220.22 M or simply overwriting
with random data and erasing later.
Additional options include viewing cookie data
as plain text in Notepad, and printing the cookies list. There
too can be accessed when right-clicking on the cookie file
name and via "Edit" menu command. |
When the program is minimized it appears in the system tray. You may
shred cookies directly from a popup menu, that will appear if you
right click on the icon at the tray.
